This morning, the technical team at Ky Thuat Viet Co., Ltd. completed the packaging and handover of a high-power DC drive control cabinet to the customer for the rolling mill section of a sugar factory.
The system is designed for a 700 kW DC motor, using the Parker DC598P as the control unit, combined with a high-power disc-type SCR assembly to control the DC power supply to the motor.
Parker DC598P – A Solution for High-Power DC Drive Control
For sugarcane rolling mill applications, the drive system must operate under heavy-load conditions while providing precise speed and torque control, as well as fast response to load variations.
In this configuration, the Parker DC598P serves as the SCR firing control unit, generating and regulating the DC voltage supplied to the 700 kW DC motor.

After completion, wiring inspection, and a thorough review of all technical aspects, the control cabinet was carefully packaged for transportation to the sugar factory, ready for the next stages of on-site installation, connection, and commissioning.
