    The HID5SS is a high-performance servo drive from Parker’s HIDRIVE series, designed for single-axis motion control. With a continuous output current rating of 5A, it supports flexible input voltages including 1/3-phase 230VAC and 3-phase 400–480VAC.

    HID5SS is compatible with various motor types including brushless servo motors, direct drive servos, and induction motors. It supports a wide range of feedback devices: resolver, incremental encoder, and absolute encoders (EnDat, Hiperface), and features a second encoder input using SinCos (1Vpp).

    The drive supports multiple control modes such as Position, Velocity, Torque, Electronic Gearing, Electronic CAM, Step/Direction, and Analog Input. Programming options include IEC 61131-compliant languages and Parker proprietary language, offering flexibility for customized applications.

    Communication interfaces include RS232/RS485, CANopen, Profibus, Ethernet TCP/IP, and EtherCAT, making the HID5SS ideal for integration into modern automation systems. It is certified with CE, UL, cUL, RoHS, ensuring compliance with global safety and environmental standards.

    HI-DRIVE is a fully digital servo drive/controller for brushless and asynchronous motor control, with output power ratings up to 310kVA and power supply options of 1/3*230VAC to 3*400/480VAC. HI-DRIVE is also able to control induction motors – its target market is where high precision, accuracy, performance, fieldbus connectivity and custom applications are required. HI-DRIVE features several built-in motion control functions, including current, torque and speed control, positioning with trapezoidal profiles, digital lock with variable ratio and phase correction, electronic cam, real-time mode, S-ramp positioning, homing functions and position capture.

    An axis card with Power PC 400 MHz micro processor which is able to control up to 32 interpolated axes via CANopen DS402, further enhances the HI-DRIVE servo controller functionality. The HI-DRIVE series is suited to simple as well as extremely sophisticated applications such as printing machines, wood and metal working machines, feeders, palletizers, applications with different interpolated axes and robots.
